Vermilion Earns Recertification as Fellow of ACHE

Ann Vermilion, MBA, FACHE, administrative director of medical staff services and community outreach, has received recertification as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the nation’s leading professional society for healthcare leaders.

According to ACHE, recertification represents continued achievement in meeting the highest standards of professional development and excellence as a healthcare executive. Only 9,121 healthcare executives hold this distinction worldwide and only 198 in Indiana. Locally, Vermilion joins Fellow status with Paul Usher, Marion Health CEO/President and Paul Kuczora, CEO/President of Grant Blackford Mental Health.

To obtain Fellow status, candidates must fulfill multiple requirements, including passing a comprehensive examination, meeting academic and experiential criteria, earning continuing education credits, and demonstrating professional/community involvement.

Fellows are also committed to ongoing professional development and undergo recertification every three years.

A Marion native, Vermilion earned her Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and management and her Master of Business Administration degree from Indiana University. She has been at Marion Health for the past eight years.
