Marion General Hospital Staff Recognized as Certified Professionals

Connie Atchison, MSN, RN, employee health nurse, is now a certified occupational health nurse - specialist from The American Board of Occupational Health Nurses, Inc. Atchison earned her master’s degree in nursing from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. She is also a certified inpatient obstetric nurse.

She resides in Marion with her husband of 34 years, Gary, along with their dog, Gracee. They have two children: a son, Dr. Rob Atchison, and a daughter Khristian; along with two grandchildren, Norah and William.

Her hobbies and interests include walking, hiking, reading, and gardening. She also enjoys learning more about health, wellness and nutrition.

The 11-year employee says, “I love working at Marion Health. The staff is so friendly and work hard to give the best care to all patients. Marion Health is an excellent organization and I am proud to be part of such a superior team.”

Matthew Ramey, BSN, RN, nursing administration, has earned the designation of certified nurse manager and leader from the American Organization of Nurse Executives. Ramey earned his bachelor’s degree in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, IN.

Ramey resides in Amboy with his wife, Lindsay, and two sons, Hunter and Jase.
