MGH VISITOR RESTRICTIONS

Beginning Tuesday, March 17, 2020, for the safety of our patients, visitors and staff, no visitors will be permitted to the acute care (inpatient) areas of the Hospital.

Exceptions will be considered in the following areas where a patient may receive one (1) designated visitor:

• Emergency Department (ED)
• Surgery
• Pediatrics
• Special Care Nursery
• While a patient is being admitted to the Hospital

For Obstetrics - one (1) visitor will be allowed per patient.

For End of Life situations, two (2) visitors will be allowed per patient.

All visitors for these designated inpatient areas should enter the Hospital:

ALL visitors must show identification at check-in (to verify they are the patient’s designated visitor), complete a respiratory illness risk screening and wear a visitor badge at all times to receive authorization to enter the Hospital.
