Wound Center

Treatment for Non-Healing Wounds

For specialized care for acute and chronic non-healing wounds, Marion General Hospital has board-certified physicians and expert healthcare teams develop patient-specific treatment plans. We accept referrals from primary care physicians and healthcare workers. Throughout treatment, our staff communicates with referring physicians to assure a smooth continuum of care and optimal healing.

Among others, we can help with the following conditions:

  • Arterial ulcers
  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Venous stasis ulcers
  • Chronic wounds
  • Non-healing surgical wounds
  • Traumatic wounds

Wound care begins with a thorough diagnostic assessment, followed by outpatient therapies to help wounds close and heal. Treatments may include medication, vacuum-assisted closure, debridement (removal of tissue), bioengineered skin products, and hyperbaric (pressurized oxygen) therapy.
